Can't add email account in Outlook 2016

Hello,

I have 3 att.net accounts working in Outlook 2016 but when I try to add a yahoo.com account it does not work.

I found a video that says to go to my Yahoo mail and under security / settings turn on "allow apps that use less secure sign in"

but it is no longer there to turn on.

To save you the trouble I've used:

Ports 993 and 465

Ticked requires authentication.

Cannot tick "SSL" because it's either Auto or SSL / TSL. (I have it set to the latter)

imap.mail.yahoo.com

smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Please advise how to get Outlook 2016 to work with Yahoo.com mail.

I hate having to use my phone for yahoo mail and have an email that is 20yrs old.

Thanks

Please advise how to get Outlook 2016 to work with Yahoo.com mail.

If it's a yahoo account why are you posting here and not asking yahoo?  Whether you use att internet to access them doesn't matter.  Your att internet access is just a pipe to get to the internet.

On the other hand maybe you are confused and really mean you have att email accounts (you didn't specify your account domain - part after the @ in your email address so I can only guess) in which case, for att email, you are not using the correct servers.  You should be using the servers documented here.   Instructions for outlook 2013 are here.

Dude,

All I was asking for was help.

Why am I asking here?

ATT and Yahoo used to be merged together and you were able to login with either accounts / passwords.

Since your an expert you would have known that, right?

Wow!!! What's this?

"If you are not sure if you have a merged account, it is likely you have one if:

  • You can sign in to your merged E-mail account using either you AT&T or your Yahoo E-mail address.
  • You can sign in to myA&T with either your AT&T or Yahoo E-mail addresses.
  • You use the same password for both AT&T and Yahoo E-mail accounts.
  • Your mailbox receives messages from both your AT&T and Yahoo E-mail address.
  • When you reset the password, it changes the password on both Yahoo and AT&T accounts.
  • When trying to reset your Yahoo password, it redirects you to myAT&T."

What part of "I have 3 att.net accounts working in Outlook 2016" did you not understand?

I don't need "correct servers" if I already have 3 working accounts now do I?

No need to respond cause you're not any help.
