Account Suspension Scam?

In the last couple of weeks, we have received texts and wireless calls (on one, not both, of our cell phones) claiming that our "AT&T account is being suspended". However, we are paid up on all our accounts. The messages don't specify what type of account is in question or why it is being suspended, and want us to click a link or press a number on our phone to reactivate.

This sounds like a scam, especially since we are paid up on our accounts and don't have any other accounts. Has anyone else experienced this or does AT&T know anything about this?

It's a scam so just delete and don't respond. If you have any doubts, just login to the official AT&T site and check your account(s) that way.

Yes, I had already checked AT&T accounts, which was my first suspicion. Also, the texts came from a local area code, not an 800 number. Fairly certain it was a scam, but just wanted to out this out there so other people (and AT&T) would be aware.

Also received this recorded message. Caller ID displayed what looks to be a Law Firm "Foley Lardner". 713-276-5000. blocked!
