Can't Make Any International Calls

Whenever I make international calls it keep saying that your call can not be completed as dialed...please check the number and dial again.

I called and chatted with agents several times but the issue hasn't been resolved yet. 

The first agent I talked, she told me that maybe my phone is too old. I had an iPhone 6S Plus that time so I switched to iPhone 14 lately.  

The last agent said there's no issue on my end. Maybe the receiver blocking the international calls which I don't think so. 

Can you please look into this problem?

Based on what it's saying you're not dialing the number correctly. You have to dial a plus and then a country code and then the number.

And if you're not the account owner, whoever the account owner is may have blocked international pay-per-use calling.

And if you are prepaid you have to pay for an international plan before you can make international calls.

Just an FYI calling outside the country is not free. If you don't purchase an international calling plan it could cost you hundreds or thousands

Thank you for your answer.

Of course I dialed a country code and then the number I wanted to make a call. 

I had added the International Calling Plan but I got the message that says your call can not be completed as dialed...please check the number and dial again. So I requested an agent to remove the plan for me. 

----

And if you're not the account owner, whoever the account owner is may have blocked international pay-per-use calling. - if this is the case where can I find it on My AT&T page? I asked my husband he said he never blocked international calls. If I resolve this issue, I will add the plan again to make international calls.

Hi @crecom509, we're here to help look into why you're not receiving international calls 

 

There is no charge or restriction to receive international calls. Check to make sure that the number is not blocked on your end. 

 

If you have the AT&T Call Protect app make sure the caller is not blocked. Also, check to see if the person making the calls are having issues calling any other numbers to the United States from abroad.

I used + country code. Also tried with 011 country code. Both didn't work.

It seems like you might be on the right track...

Example:

First, dial 011, the U.S. exit code. 

Next, dial xx, the country code . 

Finally, dial the phone number  

I assume you have already spoken to support and they confirm that international paper use calls is permitted on your account

Yes, that's what I tried to call.

The issue didn't resolve at all even though I spent hours with the AT&T agent. He said he removed the international call blocker from my phone so I thought everything would work great.

After rebooted my phone, I added the international calling plan again. I tried to call multiple times but I got the message saying that your call can not be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again whenever I call.

Just wasted my time so as the agent for nothing. So sad.

From our end, we had removed the International Call Blocker and as per your request we removed the plan as well.
