Harrassment from a private number issues still remain. New question.
Seems that the police department will only take these calls seriously if it is what they refer to as a "direct threat". So someone needs to literally threaten to come to my home and kill me. Otherwise, they will take a report and not do anything about it.
Can someone from AT&T tell me why private number calls do not appear in my phone logs at all?
I have filled out the form that I was directed to from AT&T and have heard absolutely nothing back at all. Someone could tell me why I have heard nothing back - that would also be appreciated.
I have already blocked private calls. That doesn't stop the voicemail messages. I have been told to change my phone number. Again, it appears that the person harrassing me has far more rights than I do.
I am not understanding why someone is permitted to continually call my cell phone, call me disgusting names at all hours of the day and night (sometimes at 3 a.m.), telling me I need to watch my back and there is absolutely nothing I can do to make this stop. Can someone from AT&T please address this directly, instead of pointing me to a form that I fill out and then no one gets back to me. I need actual help.

First of all understand AT&T has nothing to do with your legal issues. They are a service provider. That's all.
It is likely the person who's contacting you is doing so from a virtual number. Like Google voice or Skype or many others. It means it doesn't have a physical carrier It's a call from a computer assigned number.
If you have no idea who is doing this, you're only option may be to change your number. And if you do change your number make sure that no one who might give it out has it.

According to Google, incoming Google Voice and Skype numbers do show up in phone logs.
My service provider actually provides *77 services and *69 services on landlines, but nothing on cell phones. I'm not sure why that is. I'm also not sure why they provided me with a form to fill out and have done nothing about it. The provider is offering protections to customers with landlines, but not to wireless customers.

What link doesn’t work? The only link that @ATTHelp is giving is a link to the Contact Us page that also at the very bottom of this page.
