How to get Active Armor to not block a known contact on my phone

a relative's number is being blocked by Active Armor.  the number is in my contacts with their name, etc.  I get a notice that AA is blocking spam call and when looking at the log, AA says blocked nuisance call - 1 report.  I click on the Not Spam button and submit report.  Days later, same thing -- that number is being blocked by AA, I go into the log, mark as not spam, submit report;  days later same thing.  So how to clear this so that number once again  rings through to me?  This seems to have started just before Christmas 2023, so I think 10 weeks is plenty of time for AT&T to be able to clear this AA issues.

By the way - the HIYA support page does not allow me to report to them.

Hey there @reallyitslj. We want to help you with unblocking your contacts from ActiveArmor.

ActiveArmor helps manage spam and nuisance calls from telemarketers and more. You can manage your call preferences by:

  1. Opening the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app and tap Calls.
  2. Scroll to Network call preferences.
  3. Choose one:
    • Block caller: You can block calls from your call log, contact list, or manually.
    • Fraud calls: This is automatically set to Block for your protection. You can choose to flag these calls or send to voicemail.
    • Nuisance calls: This is automatically set to Enabled. You can choose to flag, block, or send to voicemail each category. Categories include Political, Spam risk, Surveys, Nonprofit, Private calls, Telemarketers, and Account services. Categories were based on complaints and feedback.
    • Unknown callers: This defaults to Allowed. You can also choose to send to voicemail.

Be sure to change unknown callers to allowed, so you can have the calls sent to voicemail.

Also, have you deleted Call Protect before installing and using our ActiveArmor app? If not, try deleting Call Protect, then uninstall and reinstall the ActiveArmor app to see if that helps.

Let us know how this works for you. We look forward to your response.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

deleted call protect.  deleted AA.  re-set my phone; their number is still blocked. I guess I will have to get them a cheap Verizon phone since their AT&T landline is being blocked.  Shameful this happens and worse that AT&T phone support (both my calling from my side and they calling from their side) basically say it is not their product, call HIYA; and there is no consumer support from HIYA, just business support.
