AT&T Autopay Refund

I'm from England, and I was leaving for my flight back home from America on the 13th of this month (the day of this message). I had got a GoPhone account because I was in school in America from August of last year, and would need a working phone plan in the USA to contact people with. I paid for the plan last month on the 15th myself without using the Autopay function, so thought that the Autopay function would attempt to pay for the next installment on the 15th of this month. The card linked with the payments itself expired in May, so I thought that the Autopay function would not be able to work. To my surprise, however, the payment went through all the same, which I was notified about on the 12th June (yesterday). I was sent a message prior to that one that said that Autopay would try to work on the 12th, but thought since my card was expired it would not work anyway. I am wondering if there is any possible way to refund the money back into my bank account, as I cannot use my GoPhone account in the UK, and therefore the payment was pointless. I agree that not switching off the Autopay function online was silly of me, but since I thought it would not work anyway because of the expired card I did not see a reason to do it. If there is any way to have the money refunded, or perhaps to have my account cancelled and the money refunded, then I would very much like to know about it.

@Skampski This is a customer to customer forum, not customer support. You need to contact customer support directly. If you can't call, send a private message to to @ATTMobilityCare. Generally, gophone does not refund but they make an exception in your case.
