Can I get a refund on unspent calling credit?

Hi,

I'm at present an ATT prepaid GoPhone customer, using the basic phone service. I have around $60 worth of talktime left in my account.

I am thinking of upgrading my phone, and I was wondering if it would be possible to get a full or partial refund. Does the answer remain the same if I want to transfer to Verizon, for instance?

Hi dickiefeynman,

If you upgrade your device and are staying on Prepaid, your balance will transfer to the new device just as it is now.

If you move to a post-paid AT&T plan, such as one of our new Mobile Share Value plans, your balance will transfer to the new plan as a bill credit on the new plan.

If you were to leave AT&T and move to a different carrier, your balance is non-refundable and would just lost.

Hope this helps!

Yes that is correct.

From the Terms and Conditons - "GoPhone refill cards and other account refills are nontransferable and nonrefundable."

You can read about the GoPhone Terms and conditions by clicking Here (under the section GoPhone Requirements).

Thanks a lot for the prompt response!

Just to be clear, it is absolutely impossible to transfer balance outside AT&T, right?

I mistakenly bought this go phone card thinking it was a calling card for my veteran son that is in rehab for ptsd, I would like a refund. Or an exchange for an ATT Calling Card please.!
