Is there a way to archive my SMS and MMS messages prior to doing a factory reset?

I have a AT&T Go-Phone Samsung Galaxy Express 3. I am so frustrated with it and its ever disappearing storage space that I am considering doing a factory reset. At this point only thing I would hate to lose is all my Message threads. I don't see any options in the Messaging App itself to Save off the messages in any way for restoration laater. Does anyone else know?

Hello @paulatcvs,

I can relate to the desire to make sure messages are saved before performing a master reset.  I will be more than happy to help!

One way to backup messages would be to forward them to an email.  You can do this by pressing and holding the message until the option to forward pops up.  Another way would be to check out 3rd party apps for any which can back up messages.

I hope this information helps! Have a great rest of the day!
