Please Unlock My Phone

This is appalling! Im in Australia for almost a month to see my dying sister and you can't even do me the courtesy of unlocking my phone so I can use a more affordable local data sim!!! I signed up in July - after being an AT&T for 2 years before that (***). Now you tell me I'm a month short of being able to unlock my phone so I can communicate with family while in Australia!!

This is a customer to customer support forum, not ATT.

 

Im sorry for what must be a painful time for your family.

 

It has always been ATT policy to only unlock phones after all financial obligations are complete.

Had you applied for unlock before you left, you would have been prepared.

You write you signed up in July.  If you mean you signed another 2 year phone contract, you cannot unlock the new phone until July 2017.
