Trying to call my US friend's AT&T cell phone number- but message says it is not Operational
hi
i am trying to call my friend in the USA. She has an AT&T contract cell phone (Apple i think). But i just get a message saying that her number is not operational (or not a working number etc etc).
She lives in Virginia Beach, and i need to call her urgently. How can i trace the problem? She may not even be aware of it because 99% of the time she uses Skype and Viber whilst in a wifi zone or her home wifi. She very rarely makes an outbound call using the SIM card service. And i reckon she rarely gets an Inbound call to that SIM card (except from me). Who do i contact? I don't see any Live Chat button except some business branch of AT&T. I don't want to make a long distance phone call to AT&T as no doubt that would be expensive (I live in UK). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Skype and fiber assign a phone number. Perhaps you don't have her actual ATT cell number?

i have her cell number ok, and i call it occasionally . I worked ok until very recently. She is using skype and viber even though cell phone number is not operating. Skype and Viber don't need a valid number to function. They only require a number when joining their service and installing the application itself. I know that from my own experience. So i really need some support service to investigate the issue. I will keep serching. It's taken 3 hours now and no luck on finding a support contact except long distance call which i don't want to do
