AT&T Horrible Service throughout Colorado (Boulder, Longmont, Front-Range, Denver Area)!

Why does AT&T refuse to improve its wireless service coverage in Boulder Colorado and throughout the Front Range?!? This is a decade long problem that has only gotten worse, despite technology and our phones getting better. It is nearly impossible to use my phone on ATT for anything data related... google maps, searching the web, streaming music, social media, etc, etc, unless I'm on a wifi network. ATT tech support has dug into this issue a hundred times, yet in every case, in every area, on every phone, the most they can do is offer apologies. From 3G to LTE to 4G on iPhone or Android the AT&T Wireless Service Coverage (Cellular Data) is utterly horrible in Colorado!

It’s a terrain problem.  Without a tower on every block, it’s not Resolvable.

Compared to Verizon, it’s a tie.

Thanks for the reply, but it's definitely not a terrain problem if my Verizon and TMobile friends can get great calls and data service in the same locations, that ATT customers can't get any. Even in the middle of Boulder far from hills and "terrain" we can't make calls when others can. This is without question a problem with ATT refusing to improve it's service in Colorado. Not a problem with Colorado.

Att is absolutely horrendous. Everyone who works there apparently has no idea what’s going on because I’ve had problems with them for years and somehow no one can fix it, in the stores, over the phone, etc. Many if not all of the employees are extremely rude and incredibly incompetent. They said the only way to get my phone service to work was to buy a brand new one! I was extremely desperate to have the service I pay too much for work, so I bought a brand new phone, and guess what! It still doesn’t work. No surprise there. I was a very loyal customer for almost ten years but this service and the customer service they offer is a joke. I hope everyone switches.

Since it is entirely up to the consumer, the only resolution is to switch.  If enough leave ATT they either have to improve service, or abandon coverage and change their maps.

I live in Buffalo, Wyoming now and AT&T is better than Verizon, but I lived in Aurora for 18 plus years before that and AT&T was absolutely horrible in the DENVER metro area. I had Verizon and AT&T for awhile and Verizon almost always worked when AT&T did not. I finally gave up on AT&T which is what everyone in the DENVER metro area should do

Same for me.  trying to call and the call is dropped.  Can't send text because no network is found.  This is not what I expected.

AT&T = FRAUD! For years ATT has been billing customers for service they don't deliver!! They collect your money for data & cell service that doesn’t work as advertised/contracted! That is the legal definition of FRAUD. In my case, I gave AT&T a decade (and over $10k) to fix the problems. I’ve called tech support and customer service a million times to fix any aspect of any of it but they never did. I couldn’t make calls within a half mile of my home (I live in downtown Boulder Colorado, not the mountains). I couldn’t get data or maps or stream music half the time I tried. I’ve lost/missed important calls, emails, texts. I've been stuck without maps, schedules, banking when I needed them most. I've had to borrow other's phones (on Verizon and T-Mobile) just to get directions or make calls. I've used multiple iPhone 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s Xs and had the same issues. Phones get better ATT never did. If ATT really cared they would fix the underlying problems, but instead AT&T pushes deceptive marketing like the Fake 5G campaign out now. The best AT&T wireless customer service did was make excuses, fix nothing and bill me for it. AVOID AT&T AT ALL COSTS!

Choosing a service carrier has ALWAYS been 100% on the customer.  Always will be.

If you picked At&t, you LET THEM BILL YOU.   At&t, like all carriers has a 14 day return policy, so you can get out of the deal and go to another carrier.

If you paid for 10 years and weren’t happy - WHY?????

Why didn't you switch?

This is like that old joke where the man tells the doctor it hurts when I do this. To which the doctor replies, “then Stop doing that”.

You didn’t mention whether or not you had changed to a new carrier. I have seen the exact same complaint from people who are using Verizon. Between the mountains and the cities Colorado is an extremely difficult state to provide good coverage.

I'm in Aurora and I've experienced the same issue with AT&T & had to drop the service. After two years away from AT&T I decided to try it again since they had a better deal through my work, but again I could not even make a phone call. I then decided to go to Verizon and I've had no issues making or receiving calls. ATT solution is to use your WiFi to address their shortfall on coverage which really doesn't work that well. They should have addressed this two years ago it's not like Aurora is out in the sticks I'm a mile or so away from Denver in a well established neighborhood from the 1950's. If Verizon can provide coverage enough to make a phone call why can't AT&T? With Verizon I get two bars which isn't great but with AT&T I got one bar at best and got call failed consistently. I have to be able to make and receive calls for work from my home office, paying big bucks to AT&T for failed calls isn't going to work.

I have to go OUTSIDE MY HOUSE to take a call or send a text with AT&T in downtown Colorado Springs. Absolutely unacceptable
