Cannot Access 5G on Samsung Galaxy ZFold 4, on a comp. plan,Comp. phone,& network but my hubs, who has a A71 can. PLEASE HELP!

Hey guys!

I'm hoping between everyone in here we can figure this out. So like the header basically says... I own a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, that is 5G compatible, with no esim, that will not/cannot access or connect to 5G. While My husband owns the Samsung Galaxy A71 (that is a good bit Older than mine), also 5G compatible, also w/ no esim, can/is connected to 5G. I've tried Google, couldn't find anything helpful really. All system updates are up-to-date. I have reset the mobile network settings (which a few years ago on a different phone similar issue, fixed the issue) that didn't work. I didn't try resetting the wifi & bluetooth settings or the accessibility settings, as I wasn't sure What exactly they both affect on My phone which meant resetting one or both had the chance of not only messing something up, but still not fixing the issue. Please if anyone has went through this & figured it out, or is a tech who has dealt (Edited per community guidelines) this HELP! I love this phone, & have only had it, 3 months tops. Yes I know that it not connecting to 5G isn't 911 as my phone works great, but I Keep phones until I can't use it any longer. So 4-6 years. My previous phone made it to 4½. with that being said ld like to have 5G. Not only that, I paid for a phone with 5G, I'd like one working on 5G. My husband was about to get a Z Fold 4 as well because his is done for & this one is water resistant, he is a plumber so that is music to his ears since water is What killed the one he's looking to replace, but wants see why mine isnt 5G & can it be fixed b4 he gets one. LOL. So yeah, thats my long novelized phone issue.

IF ANYONE CAN HELP AT ALL, EVEN IF ITS ADVICE THAT HAS % CHANCE TO WORK.  Thanks for reading my New book, LOL. Seriously though, thank you for reading ths far and hopefully helping me out!

Hi @Thatgirl30, we apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and its 5G connectivity. Let’s troubleshoot this issue together!

Here are some steps you can take to enable 5G on your device:

Check Your Data Plan: Ensure that you are subscribed to a 5G plan with your network provider. If you’re not sure, contact your carrier to verify your plan.
Network Compatibility: Make sure your SIM card is 5G compatible. If you kept your old SIM card, it might not support 5G. Consider getting a new 5G-compatible SIM if needed.
Activate 5G on Your Phone:
Go to the Home screen by swiping up.
Choose “Settings.”
Scroll down and select “Connections.”
Tap “Mobile networks.”
Turn on the option for “Allow 5G service.”
Your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 should now be configured for use with 5G networks.
Check Network Coverage: Confirm that you are in an area with 5G coverage. Some regions may not have widespread 5G availability yet.
Restart Your Device: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your phone and then turn it back on.
Reset Network Settings: Resetting network settings can help if there are any configuration issues.
Open “Settings.”
Tap “General management.”
Select “Reset” and then choose “Reset network settings.”
Follow the prompts to reset your network settings.

If none of the above steps work, consider visiting a Samsung service center or scheduling a repair service online. We hope this helps you get your 5G connection up and running.

Just call AT&t and make sure that your phone line is provisioned correctly. And if you didn't get a new 5g SIM card with your new phone, it is definitely not provisioned properly
