carrier aggregation in my area

I just bought a unite explore but speeds are horrible in my area. but my jeep has the mobley and speeds are good. I thought the unite explore was supposed to be better than mobley. Do I need to unlocked the explore? i bought it new. i can see B1, B2, B5 and sometimes B12 on the signal in the explore's settings. I thought carrier aggregation was the ability of getting several bands together. The mobley gets better speeds but its inside the jeep.
