Dead zone
There is a dead zone at Milton Wilson Rd and Hazel Ridge Drive in Arlington, Tn 38002. There is also lots of new housing construction in the area, so it will be more of a problem for more customers soon. I confirm that I’m not the only customer affected as all the neighbors complain about it on Facebook and everyone in my family also experience signal strength issues at home and on the road in the area. It’s is particularly a concerning issues during storms and power outages.

We understand the importance and urgency of making sure you have better cellular signal strength, without continued dead zone issues, JeffDRobinson.
This is not the experience we want you to have, and we want to step in to help. Let's meet in a Direct Message on this together, so we perform some troubleshooting on our end, check the nearby towers for any outages and work towards a solid resolution. Please check your Direct Message inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums). Once that's done, we can continue the interaction over the phone or through direct messages, whichever works best for you.
We look forward to resolving your issue. Thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

Thanks. I'm sending you a message. I doubt it is a down tower as it has been this way for at least 3 years since we moved our home here.

Hi there Jeff, is it that one area? I am sorry that you are experiencing this trouble. I am happy to look into the area. Does powering the phone off and back on help? I can set up troubleshooting. Kathy S

Over the course of 3 years it has not changed for any in the area. I personally have gone through 3 different phones, my wife has an ATT phone, my son, and hundreds of other people in the neighborhood so with the same signal strength issue. And, lots of other houses are being built in the area. So, it will get worse for more customers. I’m not sure you have read the posts carefully enough. I can only assume we need a new tower for the large quantity of ATT customers in the area all with poor service.

Thank you ,Jeff I checked area and I can submit a network ticket. I do not see any new sites. The ticket will look into the towers in that area.

Thank you, Jeff. Even though AT&T is licensed to cover a particular area, there may be spots within that area that have little or no coverage.
There are several reasons why coverage may not exist in a given area:
Zoning laws restricting towers
Issues where the surrounding terrain does not make a tower feasible
Not enough traffic in that area to support the cost of a tower
I am routing the case to our consumer team for troubleshooting of your family's personal account.

I live in MiltonWilson White Oak Neighborhood and have the same problem. It's so bad on the weekend I have to go drive out of the neighborhood to make a call. I really don't want to change but my husbands Verizon service works, no problems.

@DOverall Unless there is a temporary outage (like a tower issue that can be repaired), it may not be fixed for a while, if ever. If the problem occurs on weekends, it’s likely a capacity issue. Unless more capacity is added, it isn’t going to change. Adding antennas or more towers requires FCC approvals and other hurdles that take a while to work through, and then only if the carrier chooses to do it. Realistically, your options are to go to Verizon, or live with it.
