My phone WILL NOT WORK DURING THE DAY

I do not live in a rural area and my phone doesn't work during the day. What am I even paying for? You need to have techs come out and make the cell towers compatible for all these people. My husband works at the hospital and NEEDS his phone. We will be switching to verizon if this doesn't get taken care of. The phone will not work from 10 am to 10 pm. . our service shouldn't work sometimes and then sometimes not. It's extremely frustrating... I have put in a tech request and it was supposed to be taken care of and no change, I've gone thru all your typical steps to take care of it and nothing.

Hi @Maddieclaire18

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand how frustrating this must be and we'll be happy to take care of this for you. What kind of phone do you have? What zip code are you located in? Are you able to make calls at night without any issues? Do you have a case number or ticket number from your previous interaction with us? With more details, we'll have a better idea of where to start.

I’ve been having the exact same problem on my iphone the service doesn’t work from 7 am to 10 pm an I’ve called tech support many times an they never fix it they do the same typical steps evertime an end up never fixing it I’m paying 50 dollars a month for unlimited data but it doesn’t even work in the day at this point I don’t see the point of staying with at&t if they can’t fix this

So what exactly does not work? Can you call and text? Is it only data that does not work?

The original poster says they "don't live in a rural area"  indicating they live in a urban area which means lots of other people.

If you have no data access during the day, but you can call and text, that means you're in an area that is so congested your data is deprioritized. That means everyone else is getting served first because you are on a low priority plan.

Since you indicate you're only paying $50 a month, you're either on one of the prepaid plans or on the value plan. Those plans have no priority. You get served data last.

If calls and texts are not working then you have poor coverage, and you're with the wrong service provider.   You should have returned equipment within the 14-day return window and gone back to your previous service provider
