Phone disconnecting

Im not sure if anyone can help but lets try. My LG phone keeps disconnecting from AT&T. When this happens I can only call an emergency number. Other AT&T users around me will still have service and be connected when I am not. Also if I miss a phone call by a few seconds and try to call back it will say there is no mobile network so the call cannot be made. It will stay disconnected from roughly 1 to 30 minutes and is getting really hard to deal with.

Any help will be great.

Thank you.

@JKHeinz - Sorry to hear about the issues!!! That's definitely not good. Let's try to get this sorted for you! Have you tried turning off the phone and sitting the SIM properly? If you have, the best option would be to get a brand new SIM. You can get this free of charge at any AT&T corporate store. 🙂 Let us know how it goes!!

Hello @JKHeinz

I’m sorry to hear that your LG has been dropping your service connection! We would be happy to help!  We would welcome the chance to help troubleshoot this issue. @Rayosun is spot on in their recommendation to try re-seating the SIM card. What also can help is to clean the contacts of the SIM card gently with a pencil eraser.

Should the issue persist, a replacement SIM card is also a great suggestion. Please also ensure that your device software is fully up to date. You can find tutorials on how to remove/insert your SIM card and update your software via our always helpful Device How-To Center. (Click here)

If these steps do not resolve your service issues, please send us a private message (Link here) with the following information so we may better assist with resolving this for good!

  • Cell or account number
  • Device model
  • Device IMEI (dial *#06#)
  • Addresses of affected areas, or if happening everywhere
  • Current software version

Thanks!
