Purchased an eSim plan

I purchased an eSim plan for a trip to Europe through ESIM.net. My phone rejects it saying that my phone does not support this. Why?

Is your phone unlocked?  If your phone is locked to AT&T, no non-AT&T will work in the phone.  That’s one possible reason.  Could be others depending on phone, plan, etc.
