Roaming charges when on a cruise

We will be cruising the Eastern Caribbean with stops in Saint Thomas St. John’s Saint Croix Barbados St. Lucia and said Martin Will we have free unlimited text and calling with no roaming? Should we turn on airplane mode during these ports of call

Allow us to assist. For your kind of trip, we recommend AT&T Cruise Ship packages which provide discounted data, voice, and messaging rates to devices registered on a cellular network on a qualifying ship or in select countries.

Also, activating Airplane Mode to restrict usage to the ship's Wi-Fi to avoid data usage when the cruise ship network is on is a great suggestion. Here are a couple of others:

Use the ship's Wi-Fi network for voice, messaging and data needs as much as you can.
Turn iMessaging off since it uses data and use the unlimited messaging in the Cruise Ship package.

Will we have free unlimited text and calling with no roaming? No. You will be roaming on all but the US Virgin Island ports. Should we turn on airplane mode during these ports of call That’s up to you but if you don’t want any roaming charges, airplane mode will ensure there are none.
