SOS mode AT&T provider
My phone has been going into SOS mode daily for over a week now. Sometimes during the day sometimes at night. What is the problem?

The problem is that the phone is periodically losing the signal from the nearest cell tower. Could be any number of reasons. Weak signal. Tower issue. Tower congestion.

I live in a major metropolitan city on the east coast - why would that happen? Is there anything I can do or I just have to deal with it?

My issue with continuous SOS mode happened after an update on 5/3/2024. There seems to be no fix and this issue has cost me about $1500. I am so incredibly dissatisfied. This is not my fault.
