Tower Issues in Etowah County Alabama

I've not had cell phone service since 1-11-2015. I was able to finally connect via online chat with a AT&T Rep, Manuel Norcal, on 1-14-2015 For some reason the chat process kept sending me to "Online Orders" instead of the "Technical Support" option I had chosen.

After chatting for a hour or more, it was determined by Manuel's findings that a Tower is down in my area. The problem  was to be corrected by 1-16-2015 and a case number was issued..[edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]. I was to be kept up to date with the progess via email but I've not received a email from AT&T. Were your intentions to satisfy me for the moment? Do you instruct your chat reps to "spin a yarn" (fig. tell a tale or fib)?

Today I need to make a very important phone call but I still can't. I can't go to neighbors due to their cell phone being with AT&T too. We reside a long distance from the nearest city limits therefore if an emergency did occur, we would be helpless. I've tried to connect via chat again only to be sent to the "Online Orders" rep multiple times. What is the matter with you people? You're AT&T, the "Mr Big Britches" of communications.

When will the Tower issues be corrected? I have a contract with AT&T...they provide the service and in turn, I pay the bill...correct? I strongly feel that AT&T should credit my account for the time I've not had service. Also, if an emergency does occur who will be responsible for my not being able to contact Emergency Management Services? AT&T will be responsible!

It's now 1-17-2015...still no service nor email on status.

After reading posts by others concerning the same problem I'm experiencing, I became more irritated by the so called Present and Former Community Managers and ACE Experts...who decided that the problems experienced are Solved. Ego boost for the P, ECM's and ACE's I suppose to be assigned the Award for Community Excellence ribbon. Also, the comment below some of the so called problem solvers “I am an AT&T employee and the postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent AT&T’s position, strategies or opinions”. Their comments are nothing less than insults to the intelligence of AT&T customers. Who doesn't know about turning the phone off and on in certain situations, along with the fact the Woman was wrong in stating that it wasn't necessary unless traveling to different time zones. I was told by the AT&T chat rep on 1-14-2015, to do that very thing in order to receive Tower updates near my home. Needless to say I've followed his direction many times over the past six days without success. Concerning the Mark the Spot app advice given by surprisingly the same Woman...how can one use the app when network connection is not possible.

All of them need to “shut up and get back in the truck!”

Irony...Summer of 2014, AT&T forced me to upgrade my 1999 Sony Ericsson Walkman to a Pantech P2050 because due to Network Coverage changes that would occur in 2015, I would no longer be able to make or receive calls (??).

Shortly after second post, I received a email from the AT&T Social Media Manager.

He stated there were no Tower Issues in my area. His resolution was Network Reset on his end, 5 minute power off/on on mine. Hallelujah...I'm back on the grid !

Back off the grid again since 1-17-2015. Contact with the Social Media Manager was not to my satisfaction as I feel...ONCE MORE...I've been given false info, promised results and email correspondence from Network Repair Personnel with NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

One of my neighbors that has a land line, came to the my home a while ago to let me know my Husband had a water hose burst on his truck, leaving him stranded.

Normally, I'm a patient person but no more. AT&T is simple horrible, how do they sleep at night.
