This is a customer populated forum, we have no idea what plan you are on which would be information we need to know just say whether international day pass can be applied to your line.

International day pass allows you to use your AT&T service to its limits outside of the USA. An unlimited data plan would be required.

Turn by turn directions or as you are calling it GPS in automobiles does not cost extra, it's included as part of the automobile.

Please read absolutely everything including expanding all the frequently asked questions so that you understand how international day pass works.

You will only be charged for 10 days per bill cycle if you are on a consumer plan. Business and FirstNet have no 10-day cap on charges.

The alternative to not using and having international day pass on your phone line before you leave the United States could be catastrophically expensive. Pay for use charges are $3 per minute for phone calls, 50 cents per every text message sent $1.30 for every multimedia message sent and $2.05 per megabyte for data used That's $2,000 per gig.

There was a Florida resident with T-Mobile service charged $143,000 for 9.5 GB data while roaming. Definitely add IDP to your plan if possible.  If you have an unlocked phone, recommend purchasing a local SIM.

@Fl_retire

I saw that article 😳

Anyone who decides to switch to T-Mobile figuring that they will cover you everywhere in the world needs to read their plans. Their most expensive plans do cover roaming, but not every plan has roaming included.

Same with long distance calling to other countries, most T-Mobile's plans cover texting to other countries but they don't all cover long distance phone calls

And T-Mobile's plans are not as cheap as they used to be. And they charge taxes now.  I decided to test T-Mobile again, bought two of their $10 prepaid connect plans. I paid taxes

Article made local news first and then national news picked it up. I usually convince a few fellow tour members to purchase local SIMs with unlocked phones to save on roaming costs.
