Very poor coverage all over Frisco, TX

With a city over 200,000 residents and growing we figure Frisco would have decent coverage but it's consistently poor starting with 75035 and 75034.  What is going on???

Let's check the coverage supported in those areas for you, randy915!

The network towers and service in the areas you shared are functioning properly with no interferences. Many things can affect your wireless signal, some will surprise you!

Your home can affect your signal. The materials used to build it, where it is built, and the overall environment of your home. Move away from dead-zone(s) in your home, near a window or area without electronics. Sometimes, during peak times, AT&T may slow down speed to keep everyone connected. Rural areas tend to have weaker signals. Dropping your phone can damage the components inside. This can affect your calls, texts, and internet experience.

Allow us to share some helpful recommendations to help strengthen your connection.

Reset your network settings to refresh your connection to the network. Resetting the network restores the default settings on the device. Be aware, Bluetooth pairing and Wi-Fi settings are deleted and will need to be re-added. You will not lose data like pictures, videos, or text.

  • iPhone: Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings
  • Android: Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset network settings

You can visit our AT&T Wireless Support webpage and select Get Suggestions. You'll be directed to the Fix an Issue section. From there you will select your device then navigate back to that section and click Connection>Internet. Then follow the prompts and you'll come across very helpful personalized solutions.

If you can receive a Wi-Fi connection, set up Wi-Fi Calling. Your phone uses Wi-Fi for calls and texts when cellular coverage isn’t available. This means that in a natural disaster or other emergencies, your phone will work if it’s connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Learn about other ways your wireless service can be affected here in the Forums.

Come back and let us know if these tips did the trick!

Hello, thanks for the suggestions.  Is it normal to get 1.5Mbps on a speed test while outdoors in a residential area in 75035?  I see the AT&T 5G coverage map is completely green in this area but the speed says otherwise.

Is this a capacity issue rather than connectivity?

Hi, @randy915! Let’s meet in a Direct Message (DM) to discuss your connectivity experience.

Please check your Direct Message Inbox for a message being sent to you. Look for the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums page.

In the meantime, there is additional assistance with network connectivity at AT&T network support for AT&T Wireless customers. Here, you will learn about coverage at your location and how the AT&T network connects you to the things you care about most.

Check out each article including Get help with dropped calls or network issues and Benefits of the AT&T 4G LTE network which can help resolve that current trend with your connectivity.

Make sure to keep an eye out on the DM. We want to make sure that you're able to connect and use your device over our network.

I have lived in Frisco since 1999.  Frisco population has grown from 33,000 to now well over 180,000.  YOUR CELL SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. HAS BEEN FOREVER!

You have a captive market, with no sense of urgency to fix the cell service because of the massive growth.

Today, I was on the my cell phone with a prospective client and the call dropped.  I called back twice and finally spoke with her, and her response was "I cannot do business with a consultant I cannot talk to because of inconsistent, poor cell service."

So a prospective client voted with their money, so now I will.  We will be terminating 5 lines tonight.  Cannot continue given this horrible service.  Nothing more to say.

I moved to Frisco, I live near Main St and Legacy Parkway!  (75034) I'm 5 min from The Star.  I can walk to the Toyota Stadium where the Dallas FC plays.  I'm in the heart of this city where several Major Company HQ are .... AND I get ONE SINGLE BAR on my AT&T cell phone!

How is this acceptable?!?!?! Isn't Dallas the HQ of AT&T ???

Calls drop all the time, I can't walk around my neighborhood and be on my phone without the call dropping.

Please AT&T someone do something about this, it is hurting your reputation.
