At&T can't give me an actual unlock code for my Samsung.

Hoping someone can help me with this - I provided all the data to AT&T and got the unlock code from there system but it was simply 0 which is not an active unlock code. Speaking on the phone has got me nowhere as each person simply passes me on until I run out of people to talk to and was told to return the phone... not much help and I've run out of steam.

Not enough information. But since you mentioned returning the phone, I assume the phone is still within it’s 14 day return period or 30 days for business account. This is exactly why the phone is not eligible to be unlocked if that is the case. Please review the eligibility requirements for new phones.

If that still doesn’t answer your question then please explain a little bit more about which phone you are trying to unlock.  Where you got it, etc.

I inputted the imei into the online unlock portal and got an unlock code of 0. Obviously this isn't the correct code so when I contacted at&t they told me it simply can be unlocked even thought its fully paid off and not connect to any business account. They suggested I take it back to Best Buy (where I purchased it months ago) and ask them to unlock - which I did and they told me that they don't unlock phone- only sell them on behalf of carriers. No one at AT&T has given me an actual reason beyond we can't do it - sorry.

And yet not enough information for any help here.

What phone?

Where purchased?   Best Buy

When purchased?
