Can't see when my messages are delivered and read (Oreo Update)
After the new oreo update, my messages were marked with "Delivered" or "Read" and I could see when the other person was typing. It worked fine in the morning but then it just stopped. There wasn't anything downloaded or any resets. The new update was working as expected for a few days before this. Under "Advanced Settings" the "Share read status" switch is on for both me and the person I'm texting but it's just not working. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
(Messages > 3 dot menu at top > Settings > Advanced Messaging > Share read status)

The other recipient must be on AT&T and have the same options enabled and using the stock Samsung messaging app...... If that hasn't changed on their end also check back in.

We are both on the same AT&T plan with the same phone. We haven't made any changes to the messaging app. It was working fine earlier, I can still see the receipts from all the old messages in our conversation. It just disappeared.

I have had instances where mine quit working for a few hours then started again..... It's odd that it was working and then just quit..

It's a problem since the latest update. Mine and my husbands worked fine before and then not since update.
