I hate my Galaxy S7 Edge

I have been a long time Android, Samsung Galaxy customer but an even longer AT&T customer. To be specific 17 years, i have been a loyal AT&T customer. My number one complaint with this phone is the glass its extremely sensitive to breaking. I had a protective case on it and only dropped it one foot for it to shatter. Now I've been told that it's $700 to replace. I've only had the phone for a month and a half that is absolutely absurd. If I could afford a basic Samsung Galaxy 7 I would purchase one and a heartbeat however that's not the case. What can I do to get another phone if I'm past the 30 days???

Thats what insurance is for.....  Any phone will break if its dropped just right.

The answer is not "Any phone will break....." Samsung purposely put on a glass edge that is fragile and nearly impossible to protect. They don't care if you break it if they can push the blame to the consumer. It is a bad design, made for aesthetics and not functionality. Samsung should own this problem, not the consumer. Premium price demands a premium product. This phone is nice in most ways, but the glass edge is a mistake that the consumer is paying for.

So don't buy an S7.  There are plenty of phones for far less, without curved screens.

Best Buy has a good size display of unlocked phones.

Gently used phones can be purchased on swappa

I don't like the curved screens.  Whether or not they are more fragile is subject to debate.

My boyfriend had his S7 edge for a week before he used it because he wouldn't use it till he got an otterbox. Well the screen cracked right through the otter box! Now I have a Crack in my also. Now it keeps telling me to shut off my screen overlays before I can use certain apps.I followed the instructions. It just got worse. I sell on ebay and now all of sudden it won't let me post pictures on ebay of my products because now ebay is saying I got to remove the overlay. I've been on ebay since October and this is the first time I can't use it!!!!!! I'm so angry. This is the most expensive phone I have ever purchased!!!

I loved my 5S... so much! I had it for almost 4 years and was never envious of the newer models. It was perfection! But when I dropped it in the ocean in Puerto Vallarta, Asurion sent me an S6.

I sort-of loved my 6S... although less because I couldn't replace my battery with a backup battery and the battery life of the S6 was pathetic so I was chained to a charger. But otherwise, happy. Then (a year plus later) I dropped my S6 and stepped on it as I got of of my car. This time Asurion sent me an S7 Edge.

I completely HATE it. The processor is DREADFULLY slow. The touchscreen near the edge is finicky if responsive. I am constantly mis-navigated because of delayed of response time but more so because it resets my position at random as it tries to respond. I have had to reposition my cursor and retype in this post at least 20 times already. Ah, make that 21. No, 22.

It's the WORST phone I've EVER used. I can't claim it cuz I gave it to long a trial and I can only claim insurance once a year... So I either throw hundreds into an 8, try to find a 5 that hasn't been beaten beyond refurbishment reliably, it live with it? Advice?

Make that 26.
