New Samsung S6 update makes undesirable Share Via changes, anything I can do?

Hi all,

Usually when I take a picture with my Samsung S6 I immediately want to share it. In the past I only saw a few options pop up, which was desirable; if I wanted to email it, I could, if I wanted to share it to Facebook, I could. Simple.

Now however with the new update I am afraid to take pictures at all! Now when I click "Share Via" I have over 26 options to choose from! Which sounds good, but in no apparent order over half of them are work contacts... ie instead of letting me open the email and choose who to send to, if I accidentally clicked, it would immediately send a picture to my boss! That could get me fired!

I see no way to change it... I tried to deny access to my camera from my email and it did not work... These kinds of features worry me (Like when Facebook wanted to instantly sync/post pictures... uhhhh what if I am taking pictures of my social security card? Why would I want that?)

Is there ANYTHING I can do or do I have to get a different phone? 😞

Hello there @cashewbeep!

My apologies for the frustration with all those share options. Indeed there are an incredible number of applications and programs that can share photos these days.

Unfortunately there is no simple way to disable this from happening. As you mentioned, denying the permission doesn’t seem to remove it from the “share via” menu.

However, do not despair, third party application developers to the rescue!

I found an application called Andmade Share that allows you to customize your share via list! Using it, you’ll be able to remove any potentially employment and dignity threatening share option!

Let us know how that works out for you! I appreciate you reaching out, take care!

Thanks for the answer, but I try to avoid untrusted applications and third party solutions as much as possible. Even ATT apps I don't use I keep disabled for security reasons. Therefore I will probably discontinue my service,

Thanks,
