No Nougat update available for my S7 edge?

I have an S7 edge and I am not able to update my phone. Whenever I go into settings, and check software updates, it tells me my device is up to date. I've cleared the Cache Partition, and still no luck. I don't understand why I'm not able to download the 7.0 Nougat update. Please help.

Hello @NathanPol,

I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with updating the software on your Galaxy S7 edge, I’d be happy to assist with getting this resolved!

As of May 23, 2017, Android version 7.0 was released for your device. If your phone is displaying your software is up to date and you have already cleared the cache partition, the first thing I would suggest is ensuring you have at least 3 GB of storage available for this update. You can check how much is free in Settings – Storage.

I also advise visiting our Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool to narrow down what the issue may be. The only thing you will need to do when you get on the page, is have your device’s make and model selected, then please go to Device/Software issues >Software update.

If you are still not receiving the option to complete this update, you can visit a Samsung Experience kiosk inside of a Best Buy store and get your phone flashed to the latest version as well!

I hope you found this helpful and informative! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
