Pre-Order Note7 with SSN (Valid for Work Only) - Pay in Full

I placed a pre-order for Note7 with my SSN (valid for work only). I reeived an email asking me to call sutomer support to provide additional information.

Upon calling, I was asked to go to a Company Store with 2 pieces of ID in order to verify identiy. I did that, and came back to find out the order did not move ahead at all. Called customer supprot again, & they manually pushed the order back to processing.

I received the same email again asking me to call customer support to provide additional information. Upon calling, it's the same story again.

The store manager told me I cannot get a service with my SSN because it's a work only SSN. I was sent round & round in circles the whole day, only to have my order cancelled at the end of the day.

I have an exceptional credit, & have used ATT wireless service in the past using my SSN. Not sure what changed, but this was the worst customer experience EVER.

I was really looking forward to get the Note7 using my ATT Access More card offer, but I have no idea what to do at this point. I do not want to pay $1000 in securioty deposit just because you decided not to accept my SSN out of nowhere. I have services with all major providers, including wireless, and this is completely unacceptable.

I'm guessing you are a prepaid customer?

You cannot preorder through ATT if you are prepaid, you must have a postpaid account.

This was a pre order for new postpaid account.N ot on any existing account. I'm not a current AT&T customer, but have used their postpaid services in the past.

If you're not a current customer and have a work only SS number, you have to establish your identity in a store to establish an account.  I still don't know if it can be done, with the preorder without requiring a deposit.

Postpaid accounts with Next installments require a credit check.

Dear Friend,

This is a Data issue from the database from the 3rd Party that provides the data to ATT. This is not releated to any of Credit check or any other issue. I had seen many of the friends who already have a connection with ATT with the same work authorization visa that we have.

See if the banks are able to approve a loan of $40,000 for a car and others with this SSN then how an connetion would matter which is hardly $150 a month. Some say that this a fuzzy credit check of ATT nothing this is a 3rd Party Data issue. I am searching for the back end team to validate and provide us a solution or say that you are rejected due to a proper reason.

Will let you know soon.
