If the internet connection is working fine in the home and the only thing not working is the firestick I would refer you to amazon support for assistance on the device. ATT only has the ability to provide you the internet connection in the home and the subscription for DTV Stream in this scenario. Both of which sound like they work. Please refer to 1-888-280-4331 for amazon tech support over the phone or Fire TV Support Page for more accurate information.

OP posted in U-verse TV. I am unclear if he's talking about the U-verse TV Application (which has been available for the Fire TV platform), or as you suggest, the DIRECTV Stream app, or something else entirely. However, since he posted in U-verse TV, I'm going to assume the U-verse App until I hear different.
So, @prgtexas921 , what app are you talking about? What exactly is happening when you click on an app that doesn't play?
