How To Get AT&T U-Verse In My Area?

Hi! I am new member & trying to get U-verse in my area & I was told the community can help best way as possible of how to approach it. First my name is Lucky I live in Killen,Alabama. I live with my uncle & aunt. I am on SSD & so is my uncle. Now since I lived here I noticed it is impossible to get anything out in the country cable,internet,etc.

My uncle & aunt have DirectTV & they just tired of paying $150.00 bucks a month. We do have AT@T DSL thats like $57.00 a month for 6mps. I am sorry that's just way to $$$. Why that is so high baffles me. $207.00 for Internet & TV. Now you see why they want to go to U-Verse. Why U-Verse not in this area baffles me. We are in a Sub-Division "East Point Estates" now in this sub-divison is a AT&T HUB if I am wrong place correct me. I took many pics to show this area should be supported. To have a better understanding use Google Maps type in Cloverleaf Cir. Killen, Alabama. I find it very interesting there is a tower out here on Lauderdale County 427 on that road comes to a V shape in the center is the tower owned by CrownCaste which there is AT&T building inside the fence so I assume AT&T rents out the tower for cell phone signals. So let me get this right AT@T will rent tower for cell signal but not for U-Verse? Now get this the AT@T HUB I think thats what is called is just the WEST from the tower. Walking distance such as Lauderdale County 69 few feet from the road. You can not miss it at all it's in a big clear field & can see it on google map. Left of Lauderdale County 69 where Lauderdale County 427 as there connected street. Anyway's no doubt there fiber out here well on LEE HWY 72 there is a Electric Sub-station right in front of it AT@T made it very clear there is Fiber undeground I took a pic of it right off Lauderdale County 69 connected to LEE HWY 72 right next to Neal's Tire & Appl. Now to make everybody say WOW! Across LEE HWY 72 from Lauderdale County 69 is Lauderdale County 107 is actually across Neal's Tires & Appl. My grandmother has U-verse just baffling. Now my question is what can I do? Start a petition? Now I have heard about this Nominmate your proprty for evaluation. I assume the sub-division should do it to. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks... ATT has provided only 40-45% of ATT users w/UverseTV and internet (45-3M) on VDSL2, 30-35% users w/ ADSL2+ internet (18M-768K) for those beyond VDSL2 range and 20-25% of users will get no DSL of any kind.

ATT is using ATT wireless 4G LTE to provide internet services for those w/no wireline service available.

The first picture shows the crossbox to the left, looks like a small VRAD in the middle and power on the right. 😉

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I did check see if we can get it & no. How-ever I am happy to report 7/16/2015 At&T Contractor came out today & started digging into the ground behind the power or beside it don't know for sure to much dirt around LOL! The picture you see this is next to the power beside it what is that 20K lower left side? I asked the contractor right away are you putting in U-verse? He said yes & that all of Killen, Alabama is going to get it. What a coincidence after I post this 6 days later they are out here. I am HAPPY they did & hope we get the best. I would taken pics to update but my At&T cell phone G Vista decided to go dead but on warranty so getting a new one in a few days...Anyways this is what going on...Now the question is how long will it take? The contractor said which he is guessing maybe a month? AT&T_3.jpg

I finally know what that is now...It's called HandHole you can get them in Polymer Concrete or Fiber Glass & right now there is 2 of them at this moment... The Fiber Glass is an idea for FIber Optics....

It would be nice if they did install the GIGA-Power out here. I assume one speed at a time to see the market & how well it runs but I sure will get it if they do install it. I am not sure if the price is right I heard it is $70 bucks a month that true? Your speed can reach up to 1Gbps.

@underwoodlucky They are giving a bargain price for Gigapower, but that's not for 1G, think it's for 300M. Which is almost in all cases fast enough for just about everyone.

They are being very selective where they put it to make the most sales and money as it's an expensive propsition. Only thing I can say is they totally leaving us out in metro Detroit and MI. 😉
