when will high speed internet come to my block?

When will high speed internet and u-verse TV come to my block?

A fiber optic box was installed 1/2 mile west last May;  high speed internet is available 2 blocks north and two blocks south but not on my block.

I keep getting emails from ATT asking me to upgrade to faster service, and I would like to do that, but when I click the link, I already have the fastest speed available (elite DSL).

I want faster internet and U-verse TV.  will it ever come or should I quit waiting and switch to Comcast?

thank you

ATT/Pacbell DSL since 2000.

@sfSam111 Probably never as ATT is pretty much done w/any expansion as the availability check keeps coming up w/what you have now.

No one can give you any timelines for any service being availble and you'l have to do what you can to get a higher speed. 😉

I would recommend that you send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you.  Sometimes they can contact the local techs to see if anything can be done to get you U-Verse.  Sometimes the AT&T address search / validation tool for U-Verse will show an address as not being available to get U-Verse when it should be able to (and Vice Versa).
