AT&T Needs to come their MESS UP

I recently closed my account because of the expense.  And now I have a hallway closet with a huge mess of cables just hanging and a satellite on the roof of my house which I want removed. I have made 2 attempts via phone and have spent 1-2 hours each time and all they do is keep transferring me.  Finally the last person said because I closed the account it's. now my problem!!

If I don't get this mess cleaned up I will have to close all my other AT&T business accounts.  AT&T does not have good customer service.

DirecTV (nor AT&T) can advise you who to contact. Uninstalls are not part of their business so they don't have references for that. Either you remove yourself or hire someone local to do that for you. Suggested regarding satellite dish to leave mounting plate to protect against leaks.

Other DirecTV users may be able to give guidance or suggestions about the removal. DirecTV has their own forum. You've posted in the AT&T U-Verse TV forum.

You say satellite on your roof. Are you referring to DirecTV?

In either case, when you close an account you send back any returnable boxes (like ATT's Gateway for internet, or DirecTV receiver/HDDVR/clients). Anything else is your property upon install so is up to you if you want removed. AT&T (or DirecTV) do not have a uninstall service option.

Can AT&T advise who I can contact to get this removed?  I would have no idea ... especially the cable mess in my downstairs closet.
