ATT Uverse TV w/ Spectrum internet?

I recently got tired of ATT internet only allowing 24 mbps in my area for $58 a month so I switched to Spectrum to get 60 mbps for $48.

I bought my own modem/router the Motorola MG7550

I do a lot of streaming and gaming and figured out how to do the port forwarding with my xbox one so I can play online.

Now my Uverse tv won't connect and it keeps making me restart my box.

Is there anyway to get my Uverse cable box to connect with my Motorola MG7550 modem

I just recently switch to spectrum internet since it was 2.5x's faster and cheaper than Uverse in my area.

I bought my own modem/wireless router all in one Motorola MG7550, how would I be able to connect the crappy ATT modem to my new modem/router in order to watch tv?  I currently have the att modem unplugged and my uverse tv says to restart the cable box.

Should I plug in the att modem and direct connect it to my new modem/router?

The U-verse TV packets will arrive via the AT&T circuit, they won't be coming over Spectrum.  What you should do is crank back up the U-verse Gateway and reconnect all the U-verse TV Receivers to it like they were prior to your Internet service switch.  Just leave the Spectrum setup alone.

No.  You must have an AT&T gateway in order for U-verse to work.  You can keep the TV and disconnect the AT&T internet.  You will lose some interactive features with your U-verse doing it that way.

BeeBeeSA, can you talk more about the lost features or functionality of the Uverse service?  I'm in Winston Salem, NC and am looking at making that switch to keep my Spectrum internet (100mb/sec) but start new AT&T Uverse service for the U300 package.  Tired of the Spectum rate hikes and poor customer service, but don't want to drop all the from my current 200mb internet to 25mb rated internet...the cut in half will suck as it is.

Thanks,

Ian

Can I get rid of spectrum wifi, sign up for AT&T wifi and still get spectrum cable TV?

You can have att internet service and spectrum tv service. Spectrum will be delivered by coax cable. Att internet by copper phone lines or fiber if available. You will have separate equipment for both.

Is your address eligible for att internet?
