Been getting "network problems have stopped this stream" on DVR recordings for days now

I have been getting the "Network problems have stopped this stream" message a lot lately.  Actually, I don't think I have watched a DVR recording in the past week without it happening at least once.  We have tried all the troubleshooting suggestion but still no seems to work.  My husband seems to think we might need to have our boxes replaced. We have one DVR and two receivers.  Not sure how long we've had the equipment, but I know the DVR box has been replaced once before.

Questions:

  1. Where does that message appear?  On the tv attached to the dvr or to one of the tv's attached to your wireless receivers or both?
  2. If it's just the wireless receivers does it occur on only one specific wireless receiver?
  3. How is the dvr connected to the gateway?  Coax or ethernet?
  4. Only recordings, not live tv?
  5. Did your troubleshooting include rebooting the gateway (pull plug for 15 secs. and let it fully reboot) and then rebooting the dvr (pull lug for 15 secs.)?
