Cable TV is starting to Suck

Today is Sunday which means watching great football games if you didn't know that.  I live in Atlanta, GA but I'm not a Atlanta Falcons fan.  I'm a New England Patriot fan to the heart.  Uverse & Comcast are all the same no football showing at all only one game at a time.  There needs to be more football games being showed every weekend with out the bull crap shows you have on at the time of football season.

You have on dull boring shows taking up the space of great football games being showed.  What is up with the NFL network wanting to commentate the games instead of showing football games all day long.

The cable shows & movies that you have coming out or currently on are hot garbage shows that truly suck and are lousy.   If things don't change or seem to get better it's time to cancel cable and go back to Direct TV or streaming service.  What are people truly paying for cable if you continue to show crappy shows, no football games on Sunday, etc..

@Ddoliver7 Remember only DirecTV has exclusive Sunday Night Ticket, don't expect it here on Uverse.

Generaly you'll only see the local team and any national games.

NFL channel puts it's own programming (no rights to full football games) on and only shows 1 full game on a week night. 😉

I can't tell but do you like football?

AT&T doesn't choose what programming is on the networks they provide, that is up to the channel owners. With the execution of Monday Night Football on ESPN, most NFL games can be seen on broadcast television. The exception to this is that if there are multiple games on at once, you may be limited to watching only two teams playing depending on the league rules.

Believe it or not the NFL has a vested interest  in getting you to watch the games on broadcast TV instead of watching their channel. So it makes sense as to why they're not showing games at that moment.

I really don't know how to offer you advice on why your next move should be in regards to your pay TV service. Honestly I would tell you you're best bet would be to drop cable TV and put up a pair of rabbit ears. If a Patriots game isn't airing nationally that week go to a bar that has NFL Sunday Ticket and watch the game there. You'll be saving money and not have to watch any "lousy shows" as you so elegantly put it.

Seriously?

I don't know about Atlanta but here in Dallas, there was 12 hours of football on yesterday (Sunday). 12 hours isn't enough?

11:00am-12:00  Pregame

12:00-3:30pm  Somebody vs. somebody

3:30-6:00pm   SF vs. Dallas (joke)

7:30-11:00pm  Sunday night football

...and DH bragged that he watched ALL 12 HOURS!

As the previous posters have said, your options on Sunday are limited to those the NFL have made agreements to provide on the two broadcast networks and the Sunday Ticket.  Unless you wish to go to DirecTV, the rabbit ears are as good a choice as any other mechanism.

If you want to get really confused, read about how they decide which games are aired on which networks and how many can be aired and when they can be aired here

Just pony up the extra $7, get the HD premium tier and watch NFL RedZone. It's addictive and you see every touchdown from every game in close to real time.

Problem solved!

There are a few ways to pay for Sunday Ticket without DirecTV. You're supposed to be able to via XBOX ONE, but last Sunday had some technical issues.

There is another way that may or may not be legit, depending on your viewpoints.

The HD Premium Tier is well worth the $7 during NFL season. I normally subscribe the day before the first Sunday and unsubscribe immediately after Week 17 concludes, but I didn't do it this year, due to being away from the TV last Sunday. We'll see what week 2 brings...I may or may not subscribe.

In fact, I think I can unsubscribe from the $10 HD tier for an hour or so and re-sign up. I saw something online that suggests I may be eligible for a $10 credit as a "new" customer. If so, I'd be paying $7 for the first month of HD Premium, but getting a $10 credit...whoo-hoo! Smiley Happy

@baseballisback No, you would'nt have gotten Red Zone ordering it Sunday, a number of users tried to do just that and it did not go thru.  Only if you could contact Sadath CS, he helped a user or two.

Think the ATT computers would not know you weren't 'new'? Smiley Surprised

Well, you never know until you try, right? Worst comes to worst, it's the same billing price and I go without HD for an hour or two while the system resets.
