ISB 7000 Replacement try #2

Sorry for reposting this, but I attempted to deal with this a few months ago, and was told to PM u-@attu-versecare, which I did and received one response.  But when I replied to the response with my contact info, I never heard back from customer support again.  So once again I'd like to solve this before I agree to a new 1 year contract, (or considering ditching u-verse for directtv or comcast).

This is my most recent problem.

I have an ISB7000 wired stb, that has a problem where it shuts down and the only way to reboot is to disconnect the power, ethernet, and coaxial feed to tv, wait at least 30minutes sometimes as long as an hour for it to cool down or reset or whatever it does, and then reconnect everything.

I've had techs out at my house on numerous occasions for other reasons, but when they went to swap the bad ISB7000, all that had were ipn330hd's in their trucks, and now they tell me that their warehouse only has ipn330hd's.  It makes no sense that at&t would only have the much older ipn330 in stock, and that I should be forced to downgrade to an ancient piece of equipment.

Is it possible for me to receive an ISB7000 replacement?  or maybe a motorola 2200?  I really don't want an ipn330hd, I had them all replaced at one point because they have a lot of problems, plus they have signficantly less ram which makes them run soooo slow, especially if you attempt to use features such as on-demand, multiview, or interactive.

I have a pace 8005 for my dvr stb, and 2 vip2500 wireless boxes as well.  So I know I am in a mixed motorola(at least for the wireless) and cisco area.  Really I just want another isb7000 and I don't feel like this is asking too much.

Thank you,

I hope to receive a reply from customer service and maybe this time they'll answer my PM?

As I said in my post, I have 4 tv's, 2 wireless boxes (both moto vip2500's), 1 dvr(pace 8005), and the one wired cisco isb7000 that is having problems.  I forgot to mention I have all ethernet runs to the dvr and wired isb7000. U-verse stripped out all the coax when I was having another problem and they couldn't solve it. I would be totally fine using a third wireless box run off of ethernet if at&t gave me a wireless box for free to replace the 7000.  Is it even possible to have a third wireless box on the account?

I've been told I'm in a cisco market by some techs,  but other techs have told me they get motorola equipment randomly sometimes if AT&T happens to feel like it.

Thanks for your help and quick reply @my thoughts.

If I PM @ATTU-verseCare  should I receive a reply?  or do I need someone to tell me to PM them first?

Yes you will receive a reply and you don't need someone to tell you to PM anybody.

I doubt anyone cares, but in case anyone was wondering.  The forum based customer care was able to get me a replacement isb7000 shipped out, and so far it's been working perfectly.  They really were helpful with this once I finally got ahold of them.

Awesome news. Yeah, the u-verse care people here at the forums can get backlogged at times, as they also deal with Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets, but they really can work wonders.
