ISB7000 replacement

I have had a lot of problems over the last 2 years with uverse, but the first 5 years before that were great.  I think I've almost gotten all of my problems fixed.

This is my most recent problem.

 

I have an ISB7000 wired stb, that has a problem where it shuts down and the only way to reboot is to disconnect the power, ethernet, and coaxial feed to tv, wait at least 5minutes sometimes as long as an hour for it to cool down, and then reconnect everything.  

I've had techs out at my house on numerous occasions for other reasons, but when they went to swap the bad ISB7000, all that had were ipn330hd's in their trucks, and now they tell me that their warehouse only has ipn330hd's.  It makes no sense that at&t would only have the much older ipn330 in stock, and that I should be forced to downgrade to an ancient piece of equipment.

Is it possible for me to receive an ISB7000 replacement?  or maybe a motorola 2200?  I really don't want an ipn330hd, I had them all replaced at one point because they have a lot of problems, plus they have signficantly less ram which makes them run soooo slow, especially if you attempt to use features such as on-demand, multiview, or interactive.

 

I have a pace 8005 for the dvr stb, and 2 vip2500 wireless boxes as well.  So I know I am in a mixed motorola and cisco area.

@madmax988 Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.

Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse ISB7000 service problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap and gone above and beyond.

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

Ignore this, I was able to send the PM, by copying and pasting into the html section instead of the rich text section.  Thanks anyways.

 

This is going to sound really stupid, and like I have no idea what I am doing, but I attempted to pm, @ATTU-verseCare, and when I press send nothing happens.  I have test in the title, and body sections and attu-versecare is above the  send to* section.  Is there something I am missing that need to be filled out to send?

I also tried using chrome, and firefox, and turned off my ad-blocker, but it doesn't seem like the send button is working.  

I apologize in advance if I am making some rookie/noob mistake.

Have a hunch you were putting html coding in the rich text area gave you the html error you probably got when pressing Send. Smiley Surprised
