Picture Freezing every couple of seconds mainly at night
Ok I am posting this here because I need to know if this is a common problem? We have had uverse for about 4 months now and for the first few months it was great, but now off and on for the past month the picture freezes every few minutes for a second or to. The thing is, is that its freezing but the show is still playing so you actually miss the few seconds of conversation on the show, its not like it is freezing and you pick back up where you missed.
I have called AT&T numerous times about the issue and they have sent techs out who have replaced boxes, fixed wires at their main box, etc but it happens all over again with the same issues.
Happens to DVR'ed shows as well, of course because its doing it live while its recording, so we can't even go back to watch something unless we wait on it to show up on demand.. On demand does NOT skip at all.. EVERYTIME we watch on demand its fine, no matter what time of day or night. ONLY on live/dvr television. Sometimes during the day and sometimes during primetime hours.
Anyone know how to fix this? Honestly we are signing up for Hulu plus because of it, and if this can't be corrected then I might as well just drop AT&T Uverse all together and get another cable company JUST for internet and just cut the cord because this is pointless.
Any advice?

@smeltn It's not normal and to get it fixed, contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.
Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service Live TV freezing problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.
This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap and gone above and beyond.
Include your account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.
Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

I am also having the same problem with my tv at night, but the DVR records the programs normally for viewing at other times.
