TV wireless receiver will not reset

The power, HD and Record lights are all on and holding the power button down for ten seconds does nothing. Unplugging does nothing. Last time all lghts were on like this unplugging the device corrected. I have two receivers in the house and the other one is okay

Try this:

  • to perform Disaster Recovery:
  • Hold down the Down arrow key + OK key + Power at the same time to power down the STB.
  • Continue pressing these keys until a gear appears on the screen and release the Down + OK keys.
  • If the gear on the TV screen appears, wait until completion.
  • If the gear on the TV screen does not appear, repeat the disaster recovery process.
  • If the previous steps have been exhausted and the TV receiver continues to malfunction please send a private message with your account number and contact details to ATTU-verseCare for further assistance. If you are not a member of the U-verse community forums, we welcome you to register and reach out to us.

Follow the directions and good luck 😉

Same thing is happening with me. I just got a new wireless box for the bedroom. after about a week i woke up with all of the lights om and the signal light was part yellow and green. i couldn't  turn off the box with the remote tried to turn it off from the power button on the box held it down for over 10 seconds and nothing. Unpluged it for the whole day  tried when i got home and nothing. the box is stuck on and wont turn off.

You unplugged the box, and yet it still the lights won't turn off?  Wow.

You will need to click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and chose a way to contact AT&T Support directly.  They'll have to replace the receiver and its power supply (it could be either one, they'll want to replace both as a set).
