U-verse just stopped working all day.

U-verse was working this morning and randomly stopped working at noon. It's 7 pm now and still says U-Verse not available. I've tried to reboot it several times and it doesn't work. So I called tech support and the took me through a long process of unplugging and plugging the main box. Nothing worked so I'm stuck with no TV for a day and another to wait for an actual person to ome to my house to help. Anyone have any advice on what I can do since I have free time now?
