Uverse no signal
I have fiber coming into my house to the gateway....ethernet cables from gateway to...my pc, to a WAP for the wireless connection for my upstairs TV,
and one to the DVR...with an HDMI cable to my Vizio 50 series TV.
My problem is only with the: gatewy-dvr- vizio connection, with that one I am continually getting TV no signal and the restarting process starts, many, many times.
I have had the Gateway replaced and I have used a new HDMI cable between dvr and tv and new ethernet cable between gateway and dvr. (also, changed to different hdmi ports on my tv), even tried hooking up a different TV to the dvr, same issue.
None of this has made any difference...what the heck is next for me.....besides cancelation.

Replace the DVR losing all recordings, of course if move to a different provider lose all recordings also.
As not reporting issue with wireless receiver or internet….
have replaced the Ethernet between gateway and DVR
have replaced the HDMI cable between DVR and tv
have tried different Ethernet ports on back of replacement gateway
have tried different HDMO ports on TV
have tried using a different tv…
everything done except replacing the DVR.
EDIT, if wanting to try one more thing … remove the HDMI cable install with component cable and change the source selection on the tv.
Component cables are designed to work with 720p / 1080i which is what Uverse receiver provides.
This is for “no signal detected” similar to being on the wrong source.
If your getting signal lost with a list of things to try that is gateway- cable-receiver troubleshooting as the tv is showing the message not an HDMI or tv issue.

Thanks for the reply....I was hoping not to replace the DVR, 1st I'll try the hint in the last paragraph, I'll have to unhook the cables from my DVD player to my tv. (temporarily)
