UVerse stop recording "any day, any time" scheduled shows

UVerse stopped recording "any day, any time" shows. For same day series must separately set time for each episode. For other series, must set actual time.

Glad to help you fix your DVR recordings, auntalice9.

Start by troubleshooting your DVR. Perform a reset by pressing and holding the power button, located on the left side of the receiver, for 10 seconds.

Also, be sure to check the cable connections as well, and plug the receiver directly into an outlet, and not a surge protector. A surge protector can cause the following:

  • Unwanted receiver resets

  • Loss of recordings

  • Pixilation

  • Freezing

  • Complete failure of the receiver/DVR

If you have to use a surge protector, use one that's designed for high-powered electronics.

If all else fails, you can perform a non-disaster recovery on your DVR:

  1. Unplug the DVR's power cord from the wall or back of the box.

  2. Wait 10 seconds.

  3. Plug in the DVR.

  4. When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again.

  5. Repeat this process two more times.

  6. Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above.

If you're still having trouble with your recordings, we'll try a disaster recovery or troubleshooting with the Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool for U-verse.

We'll be awaiting your response!
