Volume issues with U-Verse

The volume of TV shows from U-Verse are really low. I have done the remote 955 trick and turned the volume up to 25 on my black Motorola box. That brought the sound up a little, but in order to get moderate volume on my TV I have to turn the TV volume up to 100 (out of 100, U-Verse box still at 25). My xbox is loud at 30 on the TV, as is my Chromecast.

Please note... I've set the U-Verse box to 25, confirmed that it's 25 when I had my TV volume up to 100 (max). It's at a moderate level, but not nearly loud enough.

I've switched HDMI ports, and no effect. I routed the ATT HDMI through my XBox One to test, and the XBox is loud at 30 on the TV, U-Verse is moderate at 25 on box, 100 on TV.

I went through the U-Verse box troubleshooting wizard which also set my U-Verse box volume to 25.

Do I need a new box, or is there something else I can do?

deanofharvard _ Here are two things you can try before you call for a new box.

Press ENTER - bottom right of number pad - the second item on the menu is audio language - I just changed mine to spanish & it cut the volume in half (still english). Hope you can change yours to engilsh & double your volume.

Check the surround setting - Menu -  options - audio options - digital audio output. Surround is usually silent if the TV camnnot decode it. But, it is something to try.

I have a setting for each input in the Audio Advanced Audio setting on the TV menu called the Audio Leveler that can raise and lower the audio.

Might see if you have something like that and raise it up.  Good luck 😉
