Wireless reciever ISB7005 infinite loop reset

I have had a long ongoing issue with one of my wireless receivers(ISB7005).  Ever since the Major update that added the New visual screen savers with the press ok to start one of my reciever has failed to stay on consistently.  We can get it to startup but every time it gets shut off it goes into a restarting loop.  We didn't have any issues with it prior to that update. We have had techs out several times to look at it and it seems every time a tech comes out things get worse.  I have had WAPs swapped I have had the reciever swapped.  I even was given a 7500 box that would not connect to the old WAP that when I had a tech sent out to fix he took with him replacing it with yet another 7005 STB.  Unfortunately a service I used to really like has now almost become a complete nightmare.  Does anyone else have any idea what could have cause one wireless box to fail repeatedly. And I can also say nothing has been put inbetween the reciver and the WAP that would cause interference taht wouldn't also cause interference with the other wireless box in the house.

@metalarmy - Two things I would try  if I were in that position -

Get a long cat5 cable & try the WAP in the same room as the STB & try the STB connected to the CAt5 cable. When trying the STB wired, be sure the WAP is not powered.

Note that thes are just tests with the cat5 cable running on the floor.

The WAP should be at lreast two meters away from the RG. Do yo have  other locations you can try using a longer cable?

Unfortunately after a couple of days of testing that didn't work.  I also tried to move it into another room with no change.
