Apple Tv and UVERSE .. Activation for apple tv apps

Why can I not sign into the apple TV app for Lifetime, History, and A&E. Uverse is not listed among the providers inside the apple tv app. Is this something that is going to be addressed and updated?  Several people have asked before and I ahvent seen an oficial reply from anyone at AT&T. Can we get some kind of update for when this will be allowed?

We have the U200 TV service and can access History and A&E on apple TV. I just chatted with ATT and the rep said that to watch the history channel on apple TV you needed U200 and above. What TV service level do you have? The only channel I recall having to verify my cable provider was ESPN. All the others just appear on Apple TV. Some of those require a prescription above ATT (HBO GO and maybe CBS).

I am not sure the chat rep was right. I don't think TV service affects what you can get on apple TV. I don't see anything in the settings to verify a cable provider.

I have U300 and I still don't see "ATT Uverse" as an option when activating a device for these providers (History, A&E, etc.).

There is no option for AT&T Uverse at http://www.history.com/activate

Did you try the apple TV activation?

I agree with you.  Is there a way to sign into uverse to watch ESPN and then never have to log in again.  I use it infrequently and so every two weeks or so I have to sign in again to watch ESPN.

Not sure, I think so, what is that?  Does it keep me logged in forever?

Here is what I do:

I just went to ESPN app in apple TV and then apple TV told me that I need to put in an activation code.  I go to the website it tells me to go it, I punch in the code and then boom, the apple TV starts working.  But then I have to do that process all over again in a few weeks.

Is there a way to stay logged in?

I haven't used watch ESPN in months. When I accessed it just now I am still logged in. So you should still be logged in. If I try to sign out under the watch ESPN settings, it tells me I will need to re-verify my tv provider. It sounds like you are somehow being signed out automatically. Maybe this is a watch ESPN issue and you should contact them (888-549-ESPN).

I am having the very same issues on my apple tv and my iphone. all my apps that should work and not activating after I am sent to the u-verse att authorization link. I am a new customer with u-verse and this is very frustrating!!! I have tried everything... changing my password...trying all apps that should work...CNN, HBO GO, ESPN etc. I was able to log into u-verse online and play all the content there so my user name and password works with my channel subscriptions. Any help?

HELP! I recently purchased Apple TV thinking there would be no problem watching the TV apps; however, I cannot figure out HOW to activate the USA Now app thru ATT U-Verse.  PLEASE HELP.  Apple TV gives me an activation code and tells me to login thru my TV provider BUT I don't even know WHERE to login thru ATT U-Verse.  Please Help.

@yourlandlady - Based on the assumption that you want to watch on your TV, using the apple box - Two suggestions -

1) Contact apple & get specific directions for the geneneral statement.

2) You can access USA now via a browser on your computer - http://www.usanetwork.com/app

See if you can set up access with your u-verse id/password & see if that access opens your apple app

You may also do the same via uverse.com.

If you cannot get it onto the apple app, the apple box has a casting feature, where you can cast your computer access to the TV box.
