Black Screen with only a Red X

Uverse reciever started making whirring sounds and constantly beeping for the past month. I thought this was weird but I ignored it. Also whenever I tried to turn the TV on, I always needed to restart it. Fast forward a couple weeks. The reciever stopped making the constant noices. I now turn on the TV and there is a Red X in the middle of the screen. I tried a factory reset, which didnt work. Restarting the dvr did not work either and the connections are all secure. I'm not sure what else to do. This DVR is only a couple months old.
