can we CAST a streaming movie or TV program from U-verse on my phone to a big television screen?

I can CAST  YouTube videos.  I can CAST HBO/MAX movies from my Apple iPhone to the living room Samsung TV screen.

Last night I went into the U-verse app / TV Guide to watch a movie for the first time, and my telephone screen was just too small to  fully enjoy PATTON.

I couldn't find that tiny TV screen in the corner of the screen where one would normally tap to Connect (cast) to "TV Living Room"

Can we CAST from U-Verse TV Guide program or movie onto Smart TVs?

We understand that you're trying to cast with the U-verse App Connie3. We're here to help.

When it comes to the U-verse App casting is not a feature that's provided. You can download the U-verse App to the Amazon Fire TV devices and use that to access on your smart TV.

Please let us know if that helps.

Does your phone allow mirroring? That may be an option.

Keep in mind that many channels have their own apps, in which casting might be possible.

Thanks for replying (very courteous of you)  - and I guess it DOES depend on device/program.  I just went to U-verse Guide - picked an episode of HBO program ON DEMAND, hit the PLAY button when it came up.  Got this message  "Playback not allowed on jailbroken device".

So then I went to SEARCH what that meant .......... looks like it's a problem at least two years old with AT&T.  I "think" U-Verse might be on the way out so I doubt will be fixed.  I really am pleased with it; but it's not being offered anymore.

........ oh well .......... it's not the end of the world, am I right?

Use the HBO Max app for watching HBO programming via mobile devices.
