Can We Set A Specific Start Up Channel Yet?

Yes I've seen this question before I understand. But most of the answer is in questions I saw we're at the very least 5 years ago to 8 years ago. I would like to set a specific channel for it to pop up on when I start the u-verse every time. So how's that going ATT u-verse? Have we we listen to our customers yet and gotten a specific startup channel? Because it seems odd because every time I turn on my ATT verse I do have a specific start channel that I never set it always comes onto QVC. Every single time I Hit okay on the main screen and the actual channels turn on it's always on QVC at startup. Suffice to say I've never watched QVC in my life and of course it is not the last channel that was on when I shut down the TV tonight before. So why is it starting on a specific channel if this is not something that you are able to set? And why is it starting on a channel that I never watch? And why can I not set my own channel to have it start up on if it's starting up on a specific channel anyway? When I had you uverse maybe a year ago or less it did not used to start up on QVC. It did not start up on a channel at all. It just had a main screen thing that you could hit okay or hit your recorded TV button it basically was just an advertisement for ATT u verse that said which buttons you need to hit to get to where you want to go. So why did this disappear and all of a sudden now I have to watch QVC as soon as it starts up? Did you guys make a deal with QVC to use them as your startup channel so we have to watch... What's today.. oh great today I can buy a tea set that is decorated as the characters from the Disney cartoon Beauty and the Beast. How cute and ironic one is like 'Chip' 🙄🙄🙄. Yes ATT I'm being completely sarcastic right now. In no way in shape or form do I want it to start up on QVC or buy a tea set. So what's The word guys? Do we have the most simple program startup thing figured out yet to set up a startup channel? Or do these questions from 5 to 8 years ago still exist in correct form that you never decided to listen to your customers now that it's 2024 and not add this extremely I'm sure easily coded feature that me and it appears every other person had with every other cable provider

I’ve had Uverse TV for 16 years and have NEVER had this happen.  The TV always starts on the last channel I was watching when I turned the TV off.  🤷‍♀️. You must be special.  😜😜😜

@Hngriffiths1 Have you tried hiding QVC from the guide to see how that affects the situation?

@baseballisback Have you ever seen such?

@skeeterintexas oh yeah feeling real special right now... Next time it was lunch boxes that were specifically required to mention that it was not JUST a lunch box it was an organizational container! You can make a first aid kit, you can organize your chunky jewelry, condiments in your pantry, etc etc blah blah blah... 🙄🙄🥱🥱🥱

It also doesn't seem to let me hide QVC which makes me feel like there is some sort of deal with AT&T.... 🤨🤨🤔🤔

You should be able to hide any channel. Years ago, there was one random shopping channel which was unable to be hidden, but that channel (or option) disappeared years ago.

As far as upgrades to U-Verse, such probably won't happen outside of security-related issues.

Oh wait. Did we have another issue that was lost in the nonsensical rambling? If the TV is coming on to a pre-determined channel, I don't know how to help. There *was* an option to show the last five(?) recently-viewed channels, but that also went away... I think.

@baseballisback nope even been on customer service phone calls with them and can't seem to hide it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yeah that issue always seems to get lost with them too.. 🤔 🫣😏
