Channels letterboxed

I noticed two channels I watch, MTV-U (510) and MTV Classic (520) are suddenly letterboxed. Seemingly happened within the last month. It looks terrible. They were for as long as I have been a subscriber (over a decade) optimized for 16:9 in SD. Now the picture is squeezed and is pretty much unwatchable. They do not broadcast in HD.  

Is this just me, or is it like this nationwide? Also is this a U-Verse problem or a feed problem? I ran a quick trial of Youtube TV and noticed they had it in 4:3
