Freeze/Lost

Three days ago the television began 'freezing' intermittently; losing signal. etc.  coming back after a few minutes. Tonite, the signal was lost on AMC seemingly permanently, and other channels are fine, then freeze. then lose signal. Until three days ago, all was well.   Did the reboot, etc., but problem persists. Now  I get about 5 seconds of 'program' on mostchannels, then its 'signal lost'.  I "try other channels", and its fine...for about 5 seconds.....Went thru the online troubleshooting - says problem seems to be in my house but nothing has changed here. ...

Hi @brinyblue ,

I am so sorry about the issues you are having with your TV service, but I will be glad to help. Hopefully, the information mythoughts provided got everything up and running. Also, if you have any devices plugged into the Ethernet ports in any of your receivers, be sure to remove them, as sometimes it will work fine, but it usually, causes problems. I will also be sending you a private message to gather more information and work towards getting this issue fixed for you.

I've been having the same issue for the past few days. The TV will suddenly lose the signal and I'll get the screen with the error message giving me some options to try. Occasionally I can change the channel and get the signal back but most of the time all the other channels are black, too. Usually I can just turn off the TV and then turn it back on again to restore the connection and other times I need to restart the set top box. Last night when the TV went down I lost all connections -- TV, internet and home phone. I had to reboot the RG.

This has become a daily occurrence, sometimes 2-3 times a day, after years of U-Verse working flawlessly. Do I need to call tech support or can someone here help me?

It does sound like the RG is failing. The first thing on the "lost signal" list should be wait five minutes. It usually comes back by then.

When it is too frequent call in & ask for a new RG.

Hi @suerivas,

I am sorry about the issues you are having with your U-verse services, but I will be happy to look into this for you. It could be an issue with the gateway, or possibly the line, since all services are going down. I will send you a private message to gather more information.
